ADULT BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a system of grappling and ground fighting developed in Brazil through the refinement of traditional Judo and Japanese Jiu-jitsu techniques. Jiu-jitsu operates under the philosophy that a person can control a physical confrontation, through the proper use of leverage and technique. Jiu-jitsu offers many benefits towards self-defense thanks to the combination of throwing and pinning techniques, as well as a variety of methods to safely control a fight through joint manipulation.
Jiu-jitsu is both a sport and an art, allowing the competitive person to participate in competitions which test the efficacy of their technique, while also building strong character, morality and respect.
WOMEN'S BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

The Women's BJJ program meets once a week.
This program offers the women who train at Resolve the opportunity to work one on one with each other and troubleshoot their technique.
This class also serves as a way to allow new women to acclimate to the academy and become more comfortable joining the general classes.
BJJ has many skilled female athletes, but we recognize that it is still a male dominated martial art. We have taken feedback from the women who train with us to create the most welcoming environment for new and experienced women.
